NEW SNSI ON BOARD

On behalf of Terry Parker, we welcome our new Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI). Thanks for joining us, we are glad to have you here. Getting to know Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) Morosetti was very interesting. He enjoys many things, such as, water skiing, hiking, weightlifting, sailing, fishing, building model cars, and camping. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before coming to Parker, LCDR Morosetti served as the SNSI at Sol C. Johnson High School in Savannah, GA. Before retiring from the Navy, he was an Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer. LCDR Morosetti has two sons, James Jr. (20) and Jeremiah (14). He does not have any pets, but if he had one, it would be a German Shepard. His number one goal is to positively influence each cadet and ensure they are extremely well- prepared for life after high school.

LOVIN THEM SALT AND PEPPERS!!

Terry Parker would like to welcome back all returning NJROTC cadets. Most of all, congrats to all of our new cadets. There are 120 new freshmen. Lets start off this school year great. To start with, they have this awesome new top 4 which consists of, C.O Eliis Aunis, X.O Emma Lee Tanner, O.P.S Daniel Cooper, and C.M.C Alecia Nixon. Those wonderful people are the top 4 cadets in the Terry Parker NJROTC Program. Last year, they ended the year off by earning Distinguished Unit, placing 6 out of 54 schools. The new goal for the unit is to earn Distinguished Unit with honors for the 2008-2009 school year. Not only does the unit have great goals, but they also have great teams. The teams include Drill, Orienteering (running), Rifle, Color Guard (marching with flags), and Athletic. The cadets don't only want to make it to the Championships, but they want to make it all the way to Nationals. YOU GO "ROT-C". While in the unit, the cadets will be well- disciplined. What about those uniforms? Yes, you know you've seen them hot salt and peppers walking around on campus. Watch out, they are trained to look that sexy!! Over the summer, seven cadets were given the great opportunity to go to Leadership Academy. The cadets that attended Leadership Academy were: Doane, Gillespie, Kayinamura, Kendall, Pascua, Rosado, and Sangrones. C/LCDR Tanner (X.O) served as a Leadership Academy Cadre. The cadets were also given the chance to go to Sail Academy. The following cadets attended Sail Academy: Gomes, Mashlan, and Tanner. Last but not least, there was Drill Camp. The cadets went to learn more about Drilling. All of the cadets that went had a great time. This year, the unit has formed a Cadet Parent Organization (CPO) Club. The club was formed in order to get more parental support in the unit. A lot of people talk bad about ROTC but they only go off of what they hear. No, its not all push-ups and getting yelled at, the cadets have lots of fun and they really enjoy each other. So when you see those sexy salt and peppers walking around think of all they great things they do and give them a thumbs up.
